Two Kirati Females Who Conqured The Mt. Everest


Five female journalists including Deuralee Chamling scaled the highest Mt. Everest on 18th April 2018 Wednesday morning. Deuralee Chamling is the first female summiter who stepped on the Mt. Everest from the entire Kirat community. She was born in Yasok-9, Panchthar.

On 19th May 2020, another female from our Kirat community named Junita Sambahangphe climbed the Mt. Everest who has become the 18th female to scale the Mt. Everest. She still has 6 other mountains to scale. She was born in Ambung-9, Terhathum.
