Some Family Photos

This picture was taken when I was small hiring a photographer by my mother. It reminds me my childhood and my mother. I would like to thank my mother so much.
They are my grandfather and grandmother. They are known as Mukhiya and Mukheni in our village. My grandfather's name is Kul  Bdr. Rai and my grandmother's name is Ruplakshi Rai.
 It is with my sisters and vanjis in Prabina sister's house in Bajogara, Dharan on the occasion of Soltini's marriage ceremony. 

 There is me between my father and mother in my village.My mother name is Jag Maya Rai and my father's name is Laxmi Prasad Rai. There is a huge mango tree  behind us and you can see its flowers. It reminds me my mother a lot.
 He is my father. He is so cool and handsome. It was taken on the occasion of Bijaya Dashami at Dashain in our Dharan's house.














                
I am with my friend's mother in their own house in Dharan. Every Dashain and Tihar, I am invited to take tika there. I feel so honored. He is one of my best friends.Thank you Bpn and your entire families.

The Kirat Dynasty

Nepal's very first recorded or discovered history began with the Kiratis, who arrived in the 7th or 8th century BCE from the east to the Kathmandu valley (now the capital of Nepal). Little is known about them, other than their deftness as sheep farmers and great fondness for carrying long knives. The Kirats ruled for about 1225 years (800 BCE-300 CE), their reign had a total of 29 kings during that time. Their first and best-remembered king was Yalambar, who is referenced in the epic Mahabharata. In the chronicle of Bansawali William Kirk Patrick mentions that the Kirat rule existed from about 900 BCE to 300 CE. During this long period altogether 29 Kirat Kings ruled over the country.
